"The reason why I volunteer at Crossroads is to serve the people who are pretty much forgotten by society. To give them a voice that says "I exist." To accept them as people when they have been rejected. To give them dignity, self-worth, and encouragement. To help them get back on their feet. To help them become self-sufficient. And to make them feel like they do have someone who will care about them and love them unconditionally. This is why I volunteer."

Volunteer

Crossroads' volunteer staff represents many local communities and backgrounds. The staff includes over 100 people who bring their particular talents to Crossroads' Social Service Units, Employment Office, or Resource Room for the benefit of our clients. Each volunteer completes a short training course and works with another staff member during the orientation period. Crossroads is totally dependent on the generosity of individuals, foundations, and friends for our financial support. Your donation will help those in need with food and the costs of prescriptions, transportation, identification and other necessities. Please consider becoming a partner in our efforts to help those who need so much. Your contribution may be made by check, charged to your credit card, or charged on-line. Donations of clothing, food, and hygiene products are always welcome at Crossroads' two locations. We distribute approximately fifty tons of food each year, one bag at a time, from our Social Service Units. Also, soap, shampoo, toothbrushes and toothpaste, deodorant, adult and baby disposable diapers, as well as underwear and socks for men and women are always needed, but in short supply, in our Social Service units.
